The Scottish Government has recently announced that they will now refer to the Asian hornet, Vespa velutina nigrithorax, as the `yellow-legged hornet, also known as Asian hornet’, and have produced a newsletter to raise awareness and encourage extra vigilance for yellow-legged hornets over the coming months.
